We moved from Las Vegas to San Francisco in July 2015 when Jared joined the PandaDoc team.
We lived in a cottage tucked away in Bernal Heights next to the Mission. At first I was reluctant about jumping into city life, but Jared spent months looking for the perfect place to call home.
Bernal Heights gave us the best of both worlds because we lived in the city, but still had a garden, a garage, and amazing neighbors who didn't mind sharing their home with our cat Jack. He made a daily habit of using their cat door and napping all over their house.
It was everything you'd hope for in a neighborhood. Our cottage was tiny but it was ours and we loved it.
The crew at PandaDoc became our SF family overnight. We were beyond fortunate to meet so many pandas who remain some of our best friends.
Don't underestimate your ability to squeeze in a Napa day trip from the city. Words can't describe how happy I feel in a vineyard, wine in hand.
If you haven't been to Napa, go! And then go in every season. One of my favorite things to do was surprise visitors with a trip to Napa Valley.
We adopted Bowser on April 2, 2016. He was so tiny and it was one of the best days ever. Jared named him because he said he always wanted a dog named Bowser.
I still laugh because before we adopted him Jared was adamant that we wouldn't ever have a dog in our bed.
As you can see that rule didn't stick around for very long!
We spent many weekends venturing to new coastlines. We'd escape the city on a sunny day to dip our feet and play with our pup in the Pacific. Nothing about California's coasts ever gets old.
I dyed my own hair purple because why not.
We got addicted to catching pokemon for an entire month straight. It was bananas.
We changed and grew a lot during our time in San Francisco. Mostly we just loved each other more and learned how to adult a little better. We're beyond thankful that even though we live in St. Petersburg, Florida now, we still have roots in San Francisco and visit often.
